  1.           LASI System Installation from Networked ZIP Files
  2.  
  3.   The files of the LASI CAD System have been broken into three groups for
  4.   better downloading. These are named LASI42?A.ZIP, LASI42?B.ZIP and
  5.   LASI42?C.ZIP, where "?" represents the revision number digit (1-9).

  7.   To install follow these 4 steps:
  8.  
  9.   1. Create a subdirectory named "\LASI4" on your hard disk, directly
  10.      under the root directory.
  11.  
  12.   2. Uncompress and copy the files in LASI42?A.ZIP, LASI42?B.ZIP and 
  13.      LASI42?C.ZIP into the \LASI4 subdirectory, using PKUNZIP or similar 
  14.      program. You MUST have the files from ALL three groups.
  15.  
  16.   3. Add the path "disk:\LASI4" to DOS using the "PATH" DOS Command,
  17.      where "disk" is the hard disk's letter name.
  18.  
  19.   4. Make \LASI4 the default directory and run the help program LHI.EXE
  20.      by simply typing "lhi". This will allow you to conveniently read the 
  21.      main LASI help text file LHI.HLP. The help text is intended to be 
  22.      fairly intuitive, and will explain how LASI works and how to run it.

  25.             LASI Demonstration Installation from DEMO.EXE
  26.  
  27.   A demonstration drawing has been included with LASI. This is a small
  28.   opamp IC layout that may be used as a tutorial when first learning LASI.
  29.   It may be installed by following these 4 steps:

  31.   1. Create a subdirectory under the \LASI4 subdirectory named
  32.      "\LASI4\DEMO" on your hard disk.
  33.  
  34.   2. Make the \LASI4\DEMO directory the default directory by typing
  35.      "cd\lasi4\demo".
  36.  
  37.   3. Copy DEMO.EXE into the \LASI4\DEMO subdirectory and run DEMO.EXE
  38.      by typing "demo -o". DEMO.EXE is a self-extracting executable and
  39.      will produce all the necessary files.

  41.   4. Run the help program LHI.EXE by typing "lhi demo.hlp". This will
  42.      let you conveniently read the demonstration help text. Read the
  43.      Demonstration Setup help topic and follow its instructions.
